Tamara
Gurtueva is a Professor at Fatih University (Istanbul/Turkey),
Chairperson Department of Russian Language and Literature. She received her BA.
in Literature from Kabardino-Balkarian State University in 1973 and her Ph.D. in
1979 from the “Maxim Gorky” Institute of Literature and creative writing
(Moscow/ Russia). She specialized in literary criticism, especially the Russian
literature. She has taught at the Fatih University. She has published critical
essays and literary chronicles in most of the reviews in Russia and Turkey. She
has also published seven books of literary criticism. She is currently working
on a book about Russian symbolism.
