Jack Turner earned his Ph.D. in English at the University of South Carolina. He has taught there and at Salisbury University and the University of Maryland. He currently teaches at Wesley College in Dover, Delaware. Turner's work has appeared in various journals, including Literature and Psychology, Twentieth Century Literature, and Women's Studies. His psychoanalytical examination of the novels of Iris Murdoch was published in 1993 as Murdoch vs. Freud.
