Gregory Minissale is an art historian whose doctoral research at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London focused on transcultural encounters in art. This background has informed his ongoing research into consciousness and art in a number of cultural contexts. He is author of Images of Thought: Islamic Art in India (CSP: 2006) and Framing Consciousness in Art: Transcultural Perspectives (Forthcoming. Rodopi: 2009). He has lectured in universities in the UK and the US and is now an independent scholar: g.minissale@newarthistory.co.uk
