Gunasekaran Narayanan obtained M.A and M.Phil in English from Madras University in 1979 and 1981 respectively. He was awarded a Ph.D by Bharathidasan University in 1996. He also holds a PG Diploma in the teaching of English which he received from the Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages, Hyderabad. He is now working as Associate Professor of English at Government Arts College (Autonomous), Nandanam, Chennai. he has been teaching English language and literature for the last three decades. He has taught English for some time in Libya. He served as Professor of English at Seventh April University in Zawia during the academic year 2007-2008 and during 2009-2010 he was in Misrata University. He is interested in Performing Arts, Critical Theories, Religion, Cultural Studies and Naturopathy.
