Biographies of Contributors
Sébastien Ruffo was born in 1969. He has taught French and Quebecois literature as well as history of theatre at the university of Montreal (Quebec) and is now lecturer of French Canadian literature at the university of Bologna (Italy). He has studied pedagogy and taught in different undergraduate colleges of the Montreal region. He holds an M.A. in Modern Literature from the university of Paris VII and a Ph. D. in French Studies from the university of Montreal (2003). He has published in Études françaises (U. of Mtl.) and Cahiers de la Maîtrise (U. of Quebec) and is a member of the editorial board of Francofonia (U. of Bologna).
This paper presents the findings of his doctoral dissertation, "L'Herbier
du souffleur - Critique phonostylistique de la prolation dramatique".
A different version of it was presented orally at the department of Comparative
Literature of Yale University, in February 2000, for the ACLA annual meeting.
