Jessica Runde is a recent graduate of the University of Oregon.  “Ionesco Beyond Absurdism” is the distillation of her Master’s thesis, “Ionesco and Zen: Meditations on the Absolute in the Absurd.”  Jessica earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from the California State University of Long Beach, where she also studied Iyengar style Hatha Yoga with Mikki Michelle.  As a director, performer, dramaturg, and designer, Jessica has contributed to over six-dozen theatre events, most recently as the director of the UO production of The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail.  Prior to her involvement in theatre, Jessica studied and taught dance for fifteen years.
