Donald R. Wehrs is Associate Professor of English at Auburn University, where he teaches British and comparative literature, postcolonial studies, and critical theory. Author of African Feminist Fiction and Indigenous Values (2001), he has published essays on African, Maghreb, and Indian fiction in MLN, The Comparatist, Ariel, on postcolonial theory in New Literary History, and on Shakespeare, Goethe, Sterne, among others, in College Literature, The Eighteenth Century, SEL, ELH, and Comparative Literature Studies.
