Julianne
White is an Assistant Professor of English at Jacksonville State
University in Jacksonville, Alabama. She
was awarded her Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico in 2002, and is
currently working on revising her dissertation, “ ‘We have come to give you
metaphors for poetry’: Dance, Music, and the Visual Arts as Metaphor in the
Poetry of W.B. Yeats,” for future publication, while also conducting research
on Yeats and Jewishness for a collection of essays on Modernism and Jewishness.
She lives in Anniston, Alabama, the Most Polluted City in America, with her
husband, known as “Chef Shawn” to the students on the JSU campus, and their
five cats.
