Consciousness, Literature and the Arts
Guidelines for Contributors
Authors must ensure that their submissions address the journal remit, to relate any aspect of consciousness studies to any aspect of literature, dance, music, theatre, performance, fine arts, media arts, film television, etc.
The language of publication is English.
Contributions should be no more than 10,000 words in length, accompanied by an abstract of approximately 100-200 words.
In terms of referencing, contributors may choose the style they wish to use (such as Harvard, MLA, Chicago etc.), identify this in their cover letter, and adhere to it consistently.
Manuscripts should be submitted in word files (not .pdf, not open office .odt files),
formatted at 12 point Cambria
- paragraphs should not be indented, but separated by additional spaces;
- titles and equivalents should be given in italics;
- quotations of less than 40 words should be included in the text with double quotation marks, and single quotation marks for quotes within quotes. Quotations of more than 40 words should be indented, instead of being placed in quote-marks;
- numbers should usually be spelt out rather than presented as numerals, except for numbers over 100, percentages and dates;
